Why did he do a restore? What type of problem was he having that made 
him want to restore? Watch the screen. As it starts to boot, see if it 
says system or hard drive fail before turning off.  When a computer 
turns itself off like that, it is usually an indication of a hardware 
failure. Could be a simple fix but could also be a major fix unfortunately.
