Our new stadium costs the Denver tax payer, of which I am one, 260 million a
few years ago. My wife voted for it and I voted against it on the ballot
that year. The Denver stadium has been sold out for years but companies
deliberately buy out the place so we don't lose, God forbid, any television
broadcasting where the real revenue is made. For a family of four, it costs
about 150 dollars just to go to a game. I've never been to even one but I
do listen to it on the radio after the 5 hours of pregame shows are all over
and I've never bought even as much as a bud Lite from hearing the
commercials. I guess I'm a football free loader. I like college football
games better anyway. Arena football is great but we don't have it any more
since John el Way couldn't make enough money owning the team.
Phil.
