I had the xyl look at it, and she could see no visible cracks or anything 
like that.

In any case, I'm really not impressed at all with the belt clip arrangement, 
and certainly wouldn't want to trust it too much.

I have another THF6A at the office, and will check the belt clip and plastic 
piece on it  when I go back in there on Monday.

I wonder if it cracked under the belt clip. Mine you can move it if you work
at it but it's not loose by any means.
