It's easier with the software, but it's not hard without it either. 
Especially when you download the info from www.icanworkthisthing.com and 
follow the instructions there. Mine's been packed for a month now while I've 
been between QTH's, I'd have to do it to explain it, I haven't used the 
radio actually in 2 months but I did get a couple odd offsets in there with 
no software, and no problem, I'd just have to do it to remember how because 
it's been a while. I should be in the new QTH very soon and back on the air 
with it, I'm hoping in 2 weeks give or take if you want me to do that, or 
I'm sure someone can help you with that, it's a great radio. I really love 
it and can't wait to have it back on the air.
