As I said, been a long time since I read this stuff, but I think, even on 
ten, you lose about 3 db off the ends.  That is a half an s unit, and 
nothing wrong with two dipoles if you want to do that and have the room. 
Some people put up rotatable dipoles for higher bands.  Personally, I 
wouldn't bother with two dipoles, but I'm old, fat, and lazy, and I don't 
have the room. <smile>  I also have an s 8 line noise so my enthusiasm for 
hf is way down these days.  I'd be curious in actual results from folks 
who have done this and switch between the two dipoles.
