Gery,
Is the power supply a linear or a switching supply? Switching supplies
sometimes emit "birdies" on the higher frequencies, but linear supplies
don't have that problem. What kind of noise is it? Is it all over the
band, or in certain spots? Does the noise move up and down the band. Noise
from switching supplies usually doesn't stay in one spot.
