I am referring to a relationship with God & Jesus...not the typical
idea of religion. The obstacles come from doubt and unbelief. And from
hearing people in roles of authority use terms like 'religiosity' and
calling religion a 'crutch.'

No one who has experienced God's deliverance, no one who has had God
come through for them when there was no way out and no hope of a way
out would ever call their relationship with God a crutch.

It's more like air.
