Hi Paul,

I think you're right on the money here, with every point. I too have
noticed the parallel between paleodieters and vegans: sometimes the ONLY
difference seems to be what they eat. :)
I agree that it is confusing to know how to eat. I'm repeatedly
amazed at how some of the people on this list seem to stay on top of the
relevant literature. Like me, they probably have jobs and/or are in
school, and do a million other activities, but somehow still have time
to do enough reading that they are SURE the paleodiet is correct.
Other people, of course, just try the diet and feel that it is right
for them. Maybe you could try this. If you try it, and feel great, and
all your health indicators are positive, what more do you need?
Of course, it doesn't always work that way, does it? Some people try
it, and (like Grant) don't really like the subjective results. Others
(like Todd) feel good on the diet, but have some trouble with their
objective indicators. What the heck do you do then?

Anyway, good luck on your search for a diet you can be happy with. I
hope you retain your skepticism.

Toby
