Ken,
I do think the forward and back flow in deciding what is relevant or not (I
like the simple example with percent reminder of cat/pig/dog) is key to
doing fast budgets and estimating for planning purposes. I am also
fascinated with what could be "seen" if we could focus on "causes" that are
typically not relevant to the brain.
Best,
Leland

Yes, well very kool back to you too Leland. Pattern belief, cognitive
models and hierarchical temporal memory fit directly in to the threads I
am following in my book on estimating for histo presto. As to how we
come about to develop models on which we make predictions as to future
results and attach cost/money. Though I think that we can agree that
cost estimation is a bit more complex, scaled up, from recognition of
stick figures, or apples and pears, walking or sneezing, in the context
of a business, of course.
Thnx,
Ken
