good you found the level adjustment.
there is always something to adjust the level of the speech 
synth...surprised it's not in the accessories menu somewhere.
The ts570 and other kenwood/icom rigs have board mounted VR's to adjust the 
output audio of the synth as well.
If i were a betting man, I would guess the adjustment is very close to where 
the UT102 plugs in...sometimes these things make geographical sence...but no 
definite for sures on that so I guess having someone locate the pot for you 
while the rig is powered up and then adjusting the level to suit your needs 
is the best way.
