I have had the same problems at Houlihan's in Chicago.

Before they had a GF menu, I'd have their Rosemary Chicken and a baked 
potato with sour cream and totally enjoy myself. Now that they have a GF 
menu, I order the same and the chicken comes without the rosemary sauce 
(which is totally gluten-free) and I have to specifically tell them that 
I want sour cream with the baked potato.

It's nice knowing which salad dressings I can eat without having to ask, 
but please, gluten-free does not mean tasteless.
