Hi All,

Once again, thank you for your prayers for Matthew. He presented his
documented proof of disability yesterday to the Personnel Office; and
now we're just waiting to see what happens. Matthew said the timing
for that letter couldn't have been better. God is truly awesome.

On another note, I would appreciate continued prayers for either the
recovery of my backpack and its contents; or that the insurance of my
friend won't deny the claim for what I have submitted. If anything,
I under-priced the value of items, so I do hope they will accept the claim.

Sharon G, I do hope your mother came through the procedure ok and
that she won't have any lasting effects from the surgery. Also, I'm
praying for little Rachel.

Love you all,

Jackie

Dear Jackie,
Oh, Loving! That is wonderful News! I'm going to continue praying for
Matthew, though.
I wouldn't want to go through what those men go through. They deserve
the best! I'm
praying!
God Is An Awsome God!
He is in complete Control!
Thanks much.
Loving you bunches,
Pat Ferguson

Hi All,
Thank you all for your prayers for Matthew. I HAVE GREAT NEWS TO
SHARE! Last Saturday,
nothing short of a miracle happened! When I met Matthew this
morning, he was so
excited; and when I heard his news, I was excited as well. You can
guess what our
first song was: Victory In Jesus. He told me that Saturday, he went
out to check
the mail and received a letter from the VA, giving him a 50%
disability for depression
caused by Post-traumatic Stress Syndrome. Matthew felt that his
supervisor was going
to let him go at the end of the month; so this is wonderful news. It
will be harder
to fire him now that he has a documented disability.
Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
Thank you!
Love To All,
Jackie

Thank you, Pat. I do appreciate your and the group's prayers.
Just an additional note about Matthew, he is saved and is an officer
in the Salvation
Army. He meets me at the bus stop on my side of the street and helps
me across as
there is no light. Then we pray, share scripture together, and sing
two or three
songs from a hymn book that he carries with him until the bus
comes. What a great
way to start the day! In this way, God has truly blessed me. He
works at the building
next door to mine.

Dear Jackie,
I'm praying for Matthew that he will be healed from his depression,
and that he will
be able to get the type of job that God would want him to have. We
know that God
heals everyone, in any and every kind of situation, so Lord, please
heal Matthew
from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet, and I pray Lord,
that Matthew
knows you as his personal Savior.
Lord, please provide a huge financial blessing for Jackie, and Bill,
and I pray Lord,
that she would have those things returned to her which were stolen
from her, and
this included her loving Victor Reader Stream. Lord, I pray that who
ever took her
backpack would return it with everything that was in it. Lord, I
thank you for what
you are going to do in Jackie and Bill's lives. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
Glad to see your post here, Jackie.
Lovingly,
Pat Ferguson

         Hi Beloved Friends,
I thank you for allowing me to be on this listserv. It is one
listserv for which
I am greatful to belong!
My name is Jackie Shepherd. I am 61-years-old, am married, have 2
children; along
with 2 step-children which I consider my own, and have 14
grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren.
I am an alumnus of the Oregon School For The Blind, along with my
husband Bill, where
I met Pat and several others on the list.
I accepted Jesus as my Savior in the summer of 1971, and was
baptized by Pastor
Siers, who at that time had no church; so we were baptized in the
River. In 1972,
I was baptized in the Calvary Baptist Church, in Portland, Oregon.
I currently work at Talking Book & Braille Services, at the Oregon
State Library.
My hobbies are: Music, singing, amateur radio, and a good book.
I once had a Victor Stream; and on one of the cards with the stream
was a King James
Bible. It didn't have a Concordance, but was read by Alexander
Scorby. You could
search by both book or chapter, not sure of searching by verses. If
anyone is interested,
I'd gladly send them the file.
Now, on a personal note, I have a prayer request to make. I have a
friend named
Matthew, who is in the National Guard and for a while was over in
Cuait, (I know
I didn't spell that correctly, sorry). When he came back he
experienced bouts of
depression, and had been put on medication. However, it has effected
his ability
to do his job. His supervisor is trying to get rid of him and he has
already been
forced to take a pay cut. He is raising a grandson whose mother
doesn't want anything
to do with, probably because of her current husband. Matthew is
trying either to
get another position within the agency, away from his current
supervisor, or another
job altogether. As you all know, jobs are very hard to
find. Therefore, would you
please pray that God will uphold and sustain him in his current
situation and that
He will continue to provide for Matthew and his family; and that all
the trials will
eventually work out for good?
Again, thank you for this Listserv and God bless all of you today.
Your sister in Christ,
Jackie Shepherd
