I had used plain ChapStick for many years and when I didn't see that brand listed on today's summary of lip balms, I called the company.

The rep told me that NONE of the Chapstick products, now made by Pfizer, not Wyeth, are certified gluten-free because they do not test for gluten. She said they don't put gluten in their formularies, but don't test, so they won't claim gluten-free.

So, I'm going to return the ChapStick packet to the store that I just bought this afternoon. It's probably safe, but I'd rather give my money to a company that cares enough to test.

With all the bad weather and snowy roads, I was just using plain old vaseline...from the jar. Then went out and bought the ChapStick today. Vaseline puts out their own brand of a small tube, but it's impossible to find.

* Please remember some posters may be WHEAT-FREE, but not GLUTEN-FREE *
