Greetings to the Group:
I can't safely go to restaurants any longer but am having a fierce craving
for Vietnamese food. So I trotted on down to the local Asian market and
picked up supplies including a brand of Vietnamese fish sauce recommended to
me. I didn't think to check the ingredients there (it's fish sauce, right?)
but upon closer inspection a dreaded ambiguous ingredient, "hydrolysed
vegetable protien", was listed. I have the Three Crabs brand. Can anyone
opine as to its safety? If not, does anyone have a brand that they find is
safe or do they all have HVP in them?
Thanks so much & Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Lynne
