Well, I can only relate my own personal experience. I had awful muscle-cramps until I gave up all dairy(raw or pasteurised) from my diet(probably due to magnesium-deficiency caused by dairy, re unhealthy calcium/magnesium ratio?). Took me a couple of months or so to get rid of them. I'd imagine that cramps are mostly related to some sort of mineral-deficiency.
