I love Ken's "sources" they make you laugh, in the way they assume we're all
morons, which most of us are not.
This is a doozy!! First it starts with a question "Has it already started?",
hoping people will think "Look, it's already started, 'cos 2008 on track to
be coldest year this century".
Hey, wait a 'mo, haven't we only had 7 years this century so far, and didn't
those years break lots of heat records?
What this bald statement neglects to add is that 2008 is also set to be about
the 10th warmest year since 1850, and that it is the coolest year since 2000
by only a tenth of a degree!!
Its amazing how some people think we won't notice these half-truth for what
they are. This is probably taken from a recent UK Met Office report and you
can see a rather more balanced resume of the report here:-

Thanks Ken - good chuckle. ;-)

PS Yes, Thermal Underwear sales are up 54% from this time last year (from
store Debenhams), they are on sale at a big mark down at the moment, and
domestic gas (not petrol - Uk has piped gas used for cooking and heating)
prices are due to rise 35%, which means that many poor elderly will be
putting on the Long Johns and turning down the thermostat this winter.
Nothing to do with Global Cooling!!
