HI Harvey,
They older I get the less I can remember how to run one of these radios
without a Braille reference card.

I'm probably going to be getting a Kenwood TMV-71A eventually. I need
something bigger than a THF6A to communicate with on vhf and uhf.

I know I'm going to need help setting up the rig.

I read thru Linda Reader's well-meant but confusing info on this rig.

She made one glaring omission. She forgot to tell you that you'd have to set
up one of the pf keys on the microphone to represent enter.

I've got all the manuals on that rig from all sorts of sources but I must
admit my eyes glaze over in confusion when I thenk about setting various
menu configurations.

For instance you can set two pf functions on the microphone and four on the
main body of the rig.

I have no idea what to set up nor how to set things up other than the
necessary enter key.

I'm probably frustrated because I have two hm rigs that I'd like to set up
but I'm going to have to get sighted help from somewhere to make sure I
don't blow up both rigs and power supplies.

I'm getting my code speed back up again.

I'm just frustrated at the general lack of help available.

Have a good weekend and thanks for listening to me vent.

Best 73,

Eric
