Yeah, that confirms what I thought I was hearing. ... Conditions not good 
for the east coast and southeast for some reason.

Guess the contest Fred was referring to was the Missouri QSO Party.

Tom,

Not too good from Philly today.   Could hear you on occasion just above the
noise.   When it was his turn, I could also hear Gerry and you talking about
your Easter hams.  I had  a big dish of ravioli, so to each his own.
Couldn't hear anyone else, so I figured it was a lost cause.   Threw my call
out twice, but lot's of QRM here  from MO QP stations.   See you next week.
