Hi
People will tell you that any in door antenna is a compromise. However,
a person does need to work with in their practical realities. So, here is
what I would recommend.
For receiving I would get 31 or 32 feet of wire and run it along the
bottom of the wall. This should give you a nice receive antenna. You might
even be able to transmit a watt or so safely on it. If you want the benefits
of a dipole, hamstick makes a nice dipole adapter that one screws to
hamsticks of any band in to and there it is a twelve foot dipole. This might
be an option.
