If you are interested in a handheld with six meters you may want to consider
the Icom Ic-t90A. The rig is accessible and has a cw frequency readout. I
think the last good Yaesu rigs were the 208-r, the 708-r and the ft736r with
speech board. I had the 208/408 series back in the 80's and have my trusty
736r as a vhf/uhf base rig. I in addition heard over the years that the
847r was good as far as accessibility. The vx series of equipment gets a
thumbs down from me.
