Hi,

I have an older 20-pin power connector 235W PSU,
very quiet, manufactured by Sparkle, which I would
like to use with a used Asus A7N8X-X mb (which
takes a 24-pin connector), an AMD XP+ 2600 CPU,
a PCI GPU and a wi-fi access card. The mb manual
recommends as a minimum 230W or 300W for "a
fully configured system."

20-pin to 24-pin adapters are available for less
than $10. Is there an obvious reason why this
won't work?

Thanks in advance for your help.
