July, 2010 Summary of GF lipsticks:
Thanks ladies for coming to the rescue! I received many replies so here is what I found:
Burt’s Bees – all
Lancome – some said to contact the company but many use it with no problem
Aveeda – contact the company for your specific purchase
Cover Girl – 1-800-426-8374, call the company
Mary Kay
e.l.f. – was reported that everything is GF
Clinique – call company w/color name and type of lipstick to ask if it’s GF. Someone said ALL colors were GF including quickliner Lipliner
L’Oreal - call company w/color name and type of lipstick to ask if it’s GF
Elizabeth Arden
Chanel – has a dedicated facility
Arbonne
Laura Mercier – website supposedly has a FAQ section with lists of lipsticks with gluten
NuSkin
Afterglow – many mentioned this company. All products are GF, order online
Almay – someone said to avoid
Avon – Ingredients listed on website, avon.com
Maybelline – shiny-licious moisture extreme, superstay lipcolor and shine reduction. May also have more, call 1-877-456-5287
Neutrogena – 1-800-582-4048 GF products given: lip boost intense moisture therapy, lip moisture SPF15 and moisture shine lip gloss
Gabriel Lipstick – Gluten and Lead Free. Gabrielcosmeticsinc.com – I looked at their website and saw wheat germ oil listed, so ????
MAC – not all are GF
LA Colors – found at family dollar and dollar general: stay on fairly well, doesn’t run
So, those were the responses! I’m just reporting what was reported to me. I had MANY that mentioned Lancome, I think that’s where I’m going to go.
Thanks again ladies!
