Specialgourmets is a community-driven guide aimed at making eating out and
traveling a safer and easier experience for people with celiac disease. By
using a map platform, users can search for places (restaurants, hotels and
shops) in any geographic region, add new places, and write reviews about the
places listed.

Specialgourmets was launched in July 2008 and since then has worked together
with Associations and organizations in various countries. As a result, the
guide now has over 15 thousand places in 30 countries, and about half a
million pages visualized per month.

Specialgourmets also features an online magazine (written in 3 languages)
especially for those living a gluten-free or allergen-free lifestyle. The
magazine, launched by two scientific consultants specializing in health
research , will cover the latest medical news, scientific findings, as well
as recipe ideas, events and campaigns.
