The next meeting of the Kitsap/Olympic Peninsula Branch of the Gluten
Intolerance Group (GIG) will be in Bremerton at the Harrison Medical Center in
the Auditorium at 1:00pm on Saturday May 15th. The address for the Hospital
is 2520 Cherry Ave, Bremerton and I am still working on a meeting theme,
but if you have suggestions, please let me know.

Our Soup and Bread Luncheon in Sequim on March 13th was a great success and
we had some killer soups and wonderful breads and some great desserts. We
also had a good question and answer meeting and met a number of new
members. Just remember, we always have a carpool going from Bremerton for all of
our meetings, so don't let not having transportation get in your way.

I am heading out with Cynthia Kupper, the Executive Director of GIG, for
Digestive Diseases Week in New Orleans on May 1st, so I should have a lot of
up to date information to give you from this Conference. This is the
biggest medical conference for Gastroenterologists in the US but many doctors
attend from all over the world. GIG has had a booth there for 28 years and are
very proud to be able to educate the doctors and attendees on the support
that is available to patients. The attendees also become aware of the
latest diagnostic tools and newest ramifications of Celiac Disease and
associated GI diseases.

Please also plan on the GIG Education Conference in Minneapolis, MN on June
5th and 6th. If you can plan your summer vacation or a long weekend there,
it will be a conference you will never forget. Go to _www.gluten.net_
(http://www.gluten.net) too find out all about the conference. Be sure you
become a member of GIG to help support what wonderful work GIG does for people
with gluten intolerance. Don't forget to look for the Circle GF on
products to know they have been certified by GIG's Gluten Free Certification
Organization (GFCO) and you never have to worry about the product. Not only does
GIG have our Certification Programs for products but also for restaurants
and food service institutions. This is just one of the many ways in which
GIG supports us all, so please become a member and support GIG.

Thank you so much,
