Nope, John. The tubes simply were wrapped as a unit with one thick piece
of bubble wrap, kind of interlaced between them.
They probably broke because of vibration, etc..

Didn't they have the tubes rapped in the styrophome sheets as shipped from
the factory? when I got mine, that's how I had it and shipped it back out
that way when I sold it, if not I can see why they broke, it's kind of tight
quarters in there. The tubes touch each other just about.
