Hi Tom and All,
I wanted to answer a message to thank all of you for your good wishes.
Also, I can't tell you short of Kenwood's web site where to find info on
this but it's supposed to be great. Check Eham for one. For the person who
asked what this was compared to the 570 or 480, Kenwood would say it's a new
generation of gear. It does have roofing filters in it, supposedly a new
generation of DSP filtering and other features including a separate receive
antenna if you wish and believe me, I wish. <GRIN>
Take care all and very 73.
Kevin :)

Can't wait to hear the new rig, and your thoughts on it.
I plan to be on Sunday's net to hear about your initial reactions and
experiences.

Subject: New Rig
Hi All,
Just wanted to let you all know that Friday I am driving to Portland with my
son to pick up a new Kenwood TS-590S. Hopefully, you will hear it on Sunday
on the blind ops net if I can get it all configured right. I will try to
report my impressions as I learn it on this list and hope I can do as good a
job as others have done. Wish me luck.
Very 73.
Kevin :)
