Thanks everyone for help with my wife's windows-mail problem.  After checking the autofil box the problem is mostly fixed.  If you have a number of addresses that start with the same letter it doesn't always read the "to" name.  If you tab then shift tab it does read that field though so the problem is for the moment fixed.
I don't have any incite concerning the outlook problem other that insuring that it is maximized and your screen reader is using the pc cursor.
