Lou,

Sounds like the icon ended up on your wife's desktop, or in her Start menu, 
although there may be other possibilities.  If Vista works anything like 
other versions of Windows, you'll have to log in to an administrator 
account, bring up My Computer (or Vista's equivalent) and look around to see 
where things landed.  You might also try to figure out when it disappeared 
from your account, and what was going on at the time.
