Diane,

I just got diagnosed w/ sprue about 6 months ago, I had the same symptoms
as you, minus the anemia.  The only reason I was tested for it is that my
mom has sprue.  I was given the blood tests and they all came out
negative, but since we were suspicious, my doctor referred me to a
Gastroenterologist anyway.  He did a small intestine biopsy, which came
out positive.  The point is, blood tests may not show anything, and the
only way to be sure is to actually get the biopsy done.
