I am getting some routine medical tests after having had no medical
monitoring for awhile for my gluten intolerance. I have heard mentions from
time to time of hyperpermeable gut, and suspect that I could have this
condition. In any case, the physician I have seen is willing to do a test
for this if I can pinpoint exactly what it is. I seem to recall that it is
done using a normally impermeable sugar, perhaps xylose? Or is it done
using a combination of two sugars, one permeable and one normally
impermeable? If anyone has any specifics on this, I would appreciate it.
  Thanks, David Scheim
