I just looked through the two summaries on Forteo, and couldn't find anyone that mentioned Boniva infusions.
I'm starting the infusions (every 3 months), this week, and I'm worried about side effects. Doctor thought I'd tolerate Boniva better than Reclast, and that if I do well on a year's worth of Boniva, we could switch to annual Reclast.
Some people did mention Evista, which I'm still taking. I plan to phone the company to find out if I can take Evista and Boniva together. Evista did a good job for 10 years, but my scores just got worse this year. Could be the issues I was having with Vit. D.
Doc said I could keep on taking Evista, since my mom is a breast cancer survivor and it's supposed to ward off breast cancer, but if I don't need it, I'd rather quit.
I can't take Fosomax or oral Boniva and don't want to give myself injections (Forteo).
Is there anyone who has had the Boniva infusions? I was told that Boniva (Roche) doesn't advertise them because they're working on making the infusion last longer, to compete with Reclast.
