This is only available on XP pro, and perhaps higher-end versions of vista,
but I've never bothered with any flavor of vista, so can't speak to that.

Yes, depending on what version of Windows you're running. check out Start ->
Accessories -> System Tools -> Backup. I find it a bit cumbersome to use,
but it's actually a pretty complete backup utility, and it's fully
accessible. You can find tutorials on the web. If you don't have it already
loaded in your version of Windows, you may be able to install it from the
web or from your Windows CD. There are some other options, but I haven't
found many free accessible utilities.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Wanna Learn about Backup

Hi all!

I've been thinking lately about how my hard drive can be destroyed or wear
out. Over the years I've heard discussions or subjects of doing backup. I
think it's time I learn! So, what do I need to know about doing this? Is
there a backup feature that comes with Windows?

Thanks much!

Sharon
