Since this would be helpful to me to know as well, I did a little research.
I don't have Microsoft Outlook on my home computer and hence can't verify
that this will work, but I feel very confident that it will, and I'll test
it when I go into work tomorrow.
1. Go to your desktop and make sure that nothing is selected.
2. Press the applications key; arrow down four times; you'll hear "new";
right arrow once; then down arrow once to "shortcut.
3. Press enter; when prompted for the shortcut location, copy this command
line text exactly as written:
"c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select
outlook:calendar
4. Press "tab" twice; you'll hear next; press enter.
5. Type a name for your shortcut, i.e., calendar; press "tab" twice; you'll
hear "finish"; press enter.
6. Put a fork in it; i.e., you're done.

Hello List:
A couple years ago I was shown how to place a shortcut to the outlook
calendar on my desktop. We are not interested in using outlook for email,
but we do find the calendar convenient. I can't, for the life of me,
remember how we did it. I went through the normal process of creating a
shortcut, and I can find the exe file for outlook no problem, but this
launches the entire outlook program, and I don't want that. Can anyone
assist me with this?
