I have a newspaper printed at Bellows Falls, Vt., August 30, 1819. There
is one column headed: "Proposals for the Insurance Against Fire," which
appears to be an advertisement for The Aetna Insurance Company. There is a
list of seven "classes" of buildings and rates for each class.

If anyone here would be interested in this rather unique information I
would be glad to transcribe it and post it here. I think I'm safe, I
believe the copyright has run out on this one. Ruth
