Hi,
Tom, WB8TYJ, mentioned his Sony TV having power up problems
after he used his amp on 20 meters.
The same thing happened to us yesterday for the first time after I had used
my amp on 75 meters in the morning. When I tried to change inputs on our
Sharp lcd TV, the menu suddenly started cycling like a remote button was
stuck down, but it wasn't. The only way I could stop it was to pull the
power cord. Where upon. the TV refused to power up.
I left the TV unplugged for about 5 minutes, and things returned to normal.
So apparently even though my rf is not interfering with the television video
when I was on the air, the rf must put gremlins in the remote circuitry
which can hold a charge for a while.
I'll have to see if it happens again.
