Greets 2 all,
I recently attached a HP 1220c deskjet printer to my Compaq Evo D150
SFF computer.
The software disc for it would not run properly or install (sorry, I
don't recall the exact error message). I was, however, able to
download the drivers and apparently they installed properly.
The printer is capable of printing sizes up to 13x19 but any paper
thicker than "regular copy paper" (such as photo paper) has trouble
feeding properly which after googling I've found to be a common
problem with this printer. Since I haven't been able to find any
lighter weight paper in 13x19, I bought a pack of 11x17 and it works
fine except when I set up to print, 11x17 paper size isn't listed as
an option and I have to use the Super B (13x19) setting and offset the
image so it only prints in the area covered by the 11x17 paper.
Interestingly, another pc/printer setup I have lists 11x17 even though
the printer dosen't accept larger than 8.5x11.
Does anyone know how I can add the 11x17 option so I can make use of
this larger format printer without the extra time and effort I'm
expending now?
Thanks,
-Phil-
