During the last 3 - 6 months before diagnosis I started sleeping really
well and the bowel problems improved significantly.

all the time and sweat very easily - my
endocrinologist didn't think this strange in fact she said to me " you are
always hot and sweat easily don't you?" so she obviously knows something I
don't.

Interestingly enough she also asked me a lot about my pregnancies -
including the kids birth weight (combined weight of the twins, enormous
considering they were twins and 3 weeks early)

I guess at the end of the day, when the thyroid function is failing due to
hashimotos, the different parts of the endocrine system under or over
react, as they all work and inter-relate via chemical/biochemical feedback
mechanisms?. Preganancy must also out a stress on the endocrine system?

Whats the answer - more frequent blood work? wider range of tests? more
sophisticated blood work? or listen more to the symptons and hence the
patient?. I know in the UK before TSH tests were available, thyroid
