Thanks for your imput. I thought it was interesting that the slight
swelling (I assume to be a goiter?) on my neck seems to have diminished.
Maybe that's because I all but dropped soy out of my diet. I really did
do well on a heavy soy diet when I first had hyperthyroid, but after a
few years I started feeling like I needed to pull back a little. That
little instinctive non-scientific voice inside that tells you "enough".
I'm surprised and a little alarmed at the comments about kids consuming
so much soy, since they did while I did. They have no signs of hypo,
thankfully. All 5 are thin and intelligent and active. I wonder if
having consumed organically grown soy products makes any difference.
