Yeah, the  bandwidth limitation on the 480 was something I really thought 
about before  buying the radio.   I like to sound good and get good reports 
on the audio, but  for me that is just part of the game.  I'll try and make 
the 480 sound as good as I can, and  go on with life.   The 2000 is still in 
the shack, and sometimes I'll use one and sometimes   the other.

I've thought about that LDG break  out box  a number of times over the years 
and almost added it to my order last week, but  between the radio, filters, 
voice board, and some cables I needed to  connect to my current setup,  I 
had to draw the line before my credit card melted.  It's on the list for the 
next time I have some spare radio money.
