the trick with the coax is a good one, and i've used it.
but as john said, if your antennas are all well tuned, and you have 
sufficient ground for those, you shouldn't need to worry too much about your 
shack ground.
unless your running an open wire system with a tuner, or some other sort of 
antenna system that requires a ground at the transmitter, you shouldn't have 
to worry.
you can always use a counter poise off the back of the radio run around the 
bass board of the room if you have major RFI issues and so on.
