Hi, all.

I am doing some experimenting here with an old MFJ versatuner to see if I
can extend the usable range of my Alpha Delta DXCC multi-band dipole on 80
meters. If I just use the auto-tuner, it is only usable from about 3600 to
3800 khz. I am now finding that I can extend the antenna's usefulness
throughout the entire band. So far, so good; at least I haven't let the
smoke out of anything so far.

Anyway, I don't want this new arrangement to adversely affect anything for
tomorrow night's cross-country blind ops net, so I'm wondering if anyone
would be available for a quick test later today on the 7217 40 meter
frequency.

I'm still working out some things here regarding the placement of components
in my tightly-confined shack area, but I'll monitor my e-mail to see if
anyone will be around, say in a couple of hours.

Thanks, and I'll continue on with this little test operation here.
