I have a couple of large ones, but I want a small one to put in another part
of the house. I had a small 1 amp power supply for an Ic 2AT that I used in
college. I know that would be to small even if I knew where mine was as
well. Thanks for the amp info.

you don't even need to go that high for the thf6A, one of those 2.5 amp CB
power supplies should do it just fine. Well, that's the last time I used one

was on CB, of course if you want to upgrade the radio down the road and get
a mobile, maybe you want to get a bigger one, I always tell new hams a power

supply isn't like the radio, it's not something you're messing with daily,
generally you don't get sick of it in a couple years and keep getting a new
one, a power supply generally stays for a long time so if you can afford a
big one and plan to use it down the road, go for it, if you can't right now,

there's nothing wrong with a small one, it's just something to think about.
Very honestly though, you really don't need much of a power supply for an HT

at all. One of those little 2.5 amp ones, I know radio shack used to have a
nice one not sure if they still do, and other places have, are fine for an
HT. I used to have one in my college dorm when I lived on campus for an HT
there, it was a little ugly but worked, if I still had it I'd send it to you

but I haven't the foggiest clue where it went.
