Kenwood showed the ts-590 a dsp rig with hf plus six meters. It'll be
available I would guess near year's end. Kenwood in addition had a
non-working prototype of their latest dual-band hand held the THd-72. It
covers 144/440MHZ with built in gps and other aprs related features. There
was also the Wouxun dual-band ht being sold at the fest for $105. Ed the
Wouxon distributor told me that they have a 144/222MHZ rig as well. The
fest was a blast.
