   Some years ago I made a contact with a ham who later came to be known as 
Dr. Joe on 7245, who some may remember the group, at the time we made our 
first contact, he was talking on a long wire running around the base boards 
of his apartment and tied off on the rail of his balcony.  He had a 
respectable signal.
