Like many of you, I watched the clip from the View with Elisabeth Hasselbeck talking about celiac disease.
Having seen it I must ask -- does it help or hurt to have a Celebrity, who self-diagnosed, giving out wrong or misleading information (celiac disease is an allergy)?!
I spoke with my sister who's son has celiacs. They watched the clip together. He even caught the error, about it being an allergy! This is a kid who knows the difference. The majority of people don't have a clue.
Also, last I checked, you can't self-diagnose celiac disease.
While I've missed weeks here and there I do try to read the research-type posts. So if I missed it please let me know -- but, genetic testing is now being used for diagnosis?
