Hi All~~
Now that I've discovered I'm extremely sensitive to casein in milk, I'm
looking for a dairy free milk substitute for my bread. I like Udi's bread,
but I still prefer my own bread when I have time to make it. I've tried
Silk's Original Almond Milk, but it changes the texture of the crumb. I
think I'm going to need a milk sub that contains protein of some sort that's
GF and whey free. Any suggestions from anyone? I'm hoping - actually,
requiring - a bread product that has no hint whatsoever of sweetness. I
won't use soy, so that limits me. Has anyone tried Better than Milk in Rice?
Is it sweet?
And, just how do manufacturers come up with a good bread without milk? Just
curious...
Thanks for any suggestions anyone is willing to share! ~~Ayn in Kansas
