I got back the original post and it had nothing to do with malt. It had to do with Kix no longer having oats in it. (Remember, oats are gf, by nature, but are subject to contamination, unless grown and processed in dedicated environments.)

1. Old product is still in many stores. Reading labels is imperative.
2. General Mills is NOT labeling it as gluten-free, perhaps because the product is not made in a dedicated facility.
3. The new recipe supposedly applies to Kix, Berry Berry Kix and Honey Kix.
