Hi Peter,
My files are on my Dell Dimension Desktop 2400 32 bit Windows XP.
I want to transfer them to my Dell Studio Windows 7 64 bit laptop. I saw this ad and just wasn't sure about the two different OS as well as the 32 vs 64 bit. So I wrote to you guys.
I did see that post and thought it co incidental that I had written something similar. I am assuming that the difference between the 32 and 64 bit doesn't matter?
thank you SO MUCH for all of your help.

Hi Tannis,
No ,it's not too good to be true.
I have used USB transfer cables for several years now.
It's a very convenient way to transfer files.
Actually ,I got the same newsletter and know what you're referring to.
I also just referred to it in my post on PCSOFT
http://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?A2=ind1107&L=pcsoft&F=&S=&P=11879
Transferring just data like media files ,documents, photos etc won't be a
problem.
Don't bother using it for programs or personalized settings, it just won't
work or create problems.
However ,it's ok for individual system files to replace corrupt or missing
ones ,so long as they are
a true replacement and can't be found on the troubled system.
(Of course the Win Install DVD is a good source too for missing or corrupted
files)

Good morning guys,
I received this ad in a newsletter that I get sometimes.
Is this too good to be true? Also, I cannot find where it addresses
transferring files from a 32 bit to a 64 bit. Wouldn't that be an issue?
Thank you for any help.
