I believe you have a 5+ year old monitor that is nearing the end of its
life. I could not find an online manual for the monitor. If it has a way
of adjusting color, you may temporarily try that. Trying to have your
17" CRT monitor serviced, would likely be more expensive than buying a
new 17" LCD monitor with somewhat more viewable area. In fact you may as
well spend a few dollars more and get a 19" LCD. With either one you
will have more desk space.
