There is "pro" functionality in your existing Windows 2000 install that is
only in "pro" versions of XP, and which the upgrade install in XP Home isn't
prepared to deal with.
You *could* install XP Home as a second Windows instance, but that won't
transfer the user profiles and program menus, leading to a confusing user
experience. Upgrading to XP Pro would be a better approach.
By the way, all-upper-case comes across online as shouting, and is best
reserved for emphasis and acronyms.
